One of the many benefits of being an MNTriClub member are the monthly century rides in the summer. We do these rides once per month from May through September. The rides are 100 miles out and back, meaning that you do not have to bike all 100 miles, but go out as far as you like, and then turn around. Along the way we will have aid stations set up every 20 miles. These aid stations are stocked full of goodies. Things like: energy bars, gels, oranges, bananas, pretzels, cookies (including the ever popular Nutter Butters and Fig Newtons), water, ice, sport drink powder, suntan lotion, extra tubes (there is a slight charge for these on the honor system), and more. The first 20 miles of each ride is a guaranteed no drop ride. Before departing the parking lot, all riders will get a map of the ride with cell phone numbers of MNTriClub board members to call in the event of a problem. Non-members are welcome at these rides, however there is a $10 per person charge for non-members. |
